Information Display System with Netpresenter

The purpose of Information Display System (IDS) is to enable communications within and outside of an organization using the same Network. Within the organization, information is broadcasted to all PC workstations using Netpresenter PC Player software (Player workstation). To communicate to the public or staff without their own PC workstations, information is broadcasted to them using Plasma Display Panel, Projector or CRT TV's with Netpresenter TV Payer software (TV Player). All these information are controlled from a central location with Netpresenter Editor software (Editor Workstation).

What is Netpresenter?
Netpresenter is an application for distributing corporate knowledge and multimedia news throughout organizations. The package consist of an easy-to-use Editor for designing information channels, and various applications for viewing these channels including the PC Player and the TV Player.

What distinguishes Netpresenter from "newscasting" programs is that it allows organization to create their own content, without unsolicited advertisements. Corporate information can be mixed dynamically with content from the Internet to create up to the minute presentations. The channels are fully interactive, and can include text, graphics, audio, video background gradients, and over 65 slide transitions.

Using the multimedia channel Editor, users can easily build their own presentations that contain not only text, but graphics, audio, slide transitions, hyperlinks and video as well. Advanced features of the editor include the scheduling of slides, interactivity, file distribution, sub-channels, and an intelligent publisher to broadcast information to network and Internet servers.

The Netpresenter TV Player was designed with continuous usage in mind. It allows you to play Netpresenter channels full screen and 24 hours a day on TV's, Plasma Screens, video walls and other large displays. Netpresenter TV Players support Full motion video, which allows you to playback broadcast quality video-clips as well as Netpresenter slides containing your corporate news or schedules.

Netpresenter has 2 PC players, a screensaver player that appears when a computer is not used for a few minutes and a desktop player (shown right) that can pop-up automatically when you want to alert the user.

All PC players can be configured to check for regular intervals (e.g. Every 1 minute). Only new or updated files are downloaded, saving valuable bandwidth.
